Don't blame the patient!

In a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FMS) Support Group that I ran for five years, we used to joke about a tongue-in-cheek doctor visit scenario:

The patient speaks up, "Doctor, I need your help. I need answers now. What is wrong with me?"

"Ma'am, it's a good news/ bad news situation. First the good news. You have (blank- fill in the name of either illness- either FMS or CFS). You're not going to die."

The woman smiles, but then worry lines appear on her face. "Okay, but what's the bad news?"

The doctor replies blandly, "You have (blank) and you're not going to die."

(The woman stares into space....)

Your Body's Healing Memory: Concept 3 of 3

Concept #3: If your body is not functioning well enough to maintain a state of 100% immunity and good health, what is wrong? What do you need to do to re-educate your body? To re-learn How to Heal? Are there tools to accomplish this?

We all have lived long enough to know that sometimes the body's function and process of maintaining a perfect body system can go awry.

If you find that to be true in your life, it's time to analyze:
1) what is wrong,
2) how can your body be fixed,
3) and what tools are available to augment and re-educate your body, so that it will once again make use of its God-given, innate ability to heal?

Body Break Down

Recently I received a question from Susan that asked about the body's health memory and long term health. Essentially, Susan is asking if the body has a memory that tells it how to be healthy? What do we do to if the body appears to be failing? Oh, this is a really important topic and I'm happy to discuss it here.

Sometimes we sense that our bodies are not functioning as well as they used to. Of course, the situation that we want to see is the body improving and us feeling better over time. (Sooner, rather than later, if we have a choice.)

But can the body "stop remembering" how to be healthy whether we're 62 or 22? The flat answer is, yes, it's possible.

Fatigue: Discover the Facts about Being Tired

If you feel more body "tiredness" than the average person does after an activity, there may be something wrong with your health.

If you're tired before you begin to do something, there probably is something wrong.

If you feel so tired that you can't walk across the room or sit up in a chair --or-- you fear that you don't have enough energy to take your next breath, there is definitely something wrong and it may be a major health problem!
