I've been getting so many questions about podcasts and podcasting, I thought I'd address this subject.
A podcast, like the Health Matters Show, is information:
- When you want it
- How you want it
- And Where you want it

At times we all have trouble asking for love from others... including me.
By tomorrow afternoon, July 7, 2008, my husband will be minus one kidney. His operation is 11:00 AM EST. I believe he'll come through the serious operation quite fine with no residual problem.
However, now being on the receiving end of a situation where "compromised health" is an issue once again, I am humbled by the awesome power of our bodies and God's design within our lives.
Yes, I enjoy and happily minister to my friends and clients almost every day.
For tomorrow... I cherish and appreciate your positive intentions, good will and prayers in return.
My whole family needs your best energy flowing this way!
Thank you,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show
Friday, we have a fun treat and lots of good information coming your way.
Thank goodness, I prepared for this interview a couple weeks ago, because Robin Machris, creator and author of a new blog and podcast named Meow Cast, http://www.meowcast.com, and I had a great time talking about the value of animals in our lives.
This is a really special broadcast, so be sure to tune in Friday, July 11th.
See you then!

I'm the first to admit that I don't get out much and when I do, I don't eat a ton of fast food. So today when I saw Burger King's ad for BK Apple Fries, I was stunned.
Were they actually advertising the sale of fried apples? As a meal choice for children? Oh, surely not!

Recently, Joe and Teresa Graedon of the People's Pharmacy wrote, Beware of unexpected drug side effects. They talked about antihistamines to anti-depressants, such as Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft.
They also mentioned that to help the FDA, Food and Drug Administration, discover unanticipated reactions to prescription medications (such as side effects), you should report them to MedWatch at www.fda.gov/medwatch/.
I recently wrote about the dangers of drug side effects on the Health Matters Show blog. Now, this subject is coming up again.
The drug side effect problem concerns me because I know many people who fall ill to their medicines. (I even have a girlfriend who passed out flat on the floor hitting the back of her head. She believed it was caused from taking Lyrica!)
I know this topic interests you, too. I invite you to post your concerns and share your experiences about RX drugs.
Have you ever suffered with a tough drug side effect?
If so, what did you do?
Thanks,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show

I believe in the power of music. It's authentic, real and alive. It helps us to be the same.
I was a music and piano major in college, but years ago when I got so sick, I discovered a new power of music. I took music therapy sessions from a music therapist from my area.
I discovered the work to be profoundly moving and effective in moving me along on my healing journey. I've been interested in music as a direct healing tool ever since. (You can discover this for yourself by reviewing the healing and meditation CDs listed in the Cinda Recommends store on the left side of the blog.)
And recently, I was introduced to the work of Dr. Alice Cash of Healing Music Enterprises. She has a great announcement for all people who may face surgery in the future. I'll let you read directly from Dr. Cash here.
Have a great and happy day. I encourage to make music a part of it!

I can't speak to the absolute validity of this one mother's claim to need help to save her child with Lyme Disease, but it seems mighty legitimate to me. That's why I'm posting this alert here.
Check out her story and Sue Vogan's blog., decide for yourself... and if you're led... help in any way you can.
We folks with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and other chronic illnesses (some have Lyme Disease!) know what it's like to be sick or have a family member sick, and feel powerless to be helped or to help.
