I met a young man who is challenged like most of us are in some way in life. He is wise beyond his years and is quickly becoming an accomplished writer.
I offer you his words as a thought for your day and as encouragement in your mind body spirit, soul-based healing journey. Here is what Jonathan Kenyon Fiedler sent to me and is allowing me to share with you:
If only the people who worry about their liabilities would think about the riches they do possess, they would stop worrying. Would you sell both your eyes for a million dollars...or your two legs...or your hands...or your hearing? Add up what you do have, and you'll find that you won't sell them for all the gold in the world. The best things in life are yours, if you can appreciate yourself. --Dale CarnegieGood People,
Don't know about you, but this one hit me between the eyes. I confess, often I find myself fretting about one thing, and as soon as it is resolved I simply move on to the next thing to worry about.
Around this time, I thought of my friend, Sheryl Crow. Crow states in one of her summer hits, "It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you've got."
There will always be a higher hill to climb, a fancier toy to own, and a more prestigious job to work. But to wind down at the end of the day and be able to be appreciat(e) what God our father has bestowed to us, that wisdom emits rays of sunshine.
Life is the first gift, love is the second, and understanding is the third.-- Marge Piercy
Jonathan
Enjoy Jonathan's gift of wisdom. Each of us is challenged. Each of us must find a way to survive those challenges and rise up to personal victory.
Certainly, it can be a jagged path on any mind body spirit journey, but the gift of complete health and happiness is so worth the effort!
May you be on your way to celebrating your own personal victories,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show
