I'm the first to admit that I don't get out much and when I do, I don't eat a ton of fast food. So today when I saw Burger King's ad for BK Apple Fries, I was stunned.
Were they actually advertising the sale of fried apples? As a meal choice for children? Oh, surely not!
As it turns out, they weren't.
My indignation dissolved quickly as I researched the news references from last fall explaining that Burger King was making a fast food stab at a healthy menu (like their competitor McDonald's).
All irony aside, it's not always easy to make the best food choices when we're away from home.
Fresh apple sticks? Yes.... They're probably pretty good. At least they're not fried.
To your health!
