As we socialize with friends and loved ones this Memorial holiday season, we are prone to reminisce about family, sacrifices and time gone by. That can be a good thing.
What about the wonderful memories? What about the not-so-good ones? They all get mixed in that soup we call life. If we make the effort to "remember when..."
When we had great health, we are prone to wish for the good ole' days, but who doesn't wish they felt great? No one and there's the point to be made. We all long for the good times, no matter whether you have FMS, CFS or arthritis.
We long for better times... period. If we don't get too caught up in the melancholy, but realize that there are likely many good times in our future, we can exhibit a higher degree of hope and actual expectation.
Yes, the past is important to remember. But the "present" and "future" are what count!
May you discover the path to better health and happiness this Memorial Day.
Thanks for all your kind wishes,
Cinda Crawford, host of the Health Matters Show
